ABRAHAM FRANKEL ~ STAGE NAME: "DON LEON"
Manhattan, New York ~ Age: About 7 years old
On the table next to Don is his violin and bow
displayed along with a stand holding sheet music. I do not know
his exact age at this time. I would guess that he is approximately
6 or 7 years old.
The above photo is a scanned copy of a photo copy of the original
picture that my sister Jan just sent to me recently. It is on an 8
1/2 by 11 sheet of paper. She placed the picture on the photo copy
machine and then placed over it one page of an original musical
composition that Don wrote while at the Conservatory of Music in
Vienna, in 1910 or 1911. It is a beautiful effect on the
larger photo copy.
